Brunch at Hotel Diplomat

Igår åt vi brunch på Hotel Diplomat på Strandvägen här i Stockholm, Pontus och jag. Vi började med att sitta i solen på deras uteservering med ett glas rosé. Solen värmde underbart, jag satt utan jacka och frös inte det minsta! Sedan flyttade vi in i själva restaurangen. Det är så ljust och mysigt på restaurangen, folk är så fint klädda, personalen trevlig och stämningen likaså. Jag åt toast skagen som förrätt (surdegsbrödet var perfekt rostat!) och eftersom jag haft cravings för american pancakes ett par veckor beställde jag in det tillsammans med en latte efteråt. Pannkakorna var mums, med pekannötglass, färska bär och frukt, nutella och maplesyrup till (oj hjälp, vad hände med att vara nyttig?!). Några andra gäster beställde in deras afternoon tea med scones och små bakverk som såg himmelska ut! Priserna här är lite högre men jag kan varmt rekommendera ett besök hit! Har aldrig bott på själva hotellet dock, får prova på det någon gång - rummen lär vara jättefina! 

Yesterday we had brunch at Hotel Diplomat at Strandvägen here in Stockholm, Pontus and I. We started with a glass of rosé wine out in the sun, which warmed us up lovely (I sat without a jacket on and without even getting cold - first time this year!), then moved in to the restaurant indoors. It's such a bright, nice place, great atmosphere, kind waitors and smart, fashionably dressed customers at this place, love it. I had toast Skagen for starters (the sourdough bread was perfectly toasted!) and since I've been having cravings for american pancakes for weeks I ordered those aswell. They came in with fresh berries and fruit, maplesyrup, pecannut ice cream and nutella ( jeez, what the heck happened with my ambition to eat healthy?!) and were delish! We finished the brunch off with a creamy café latte. Some of the other guests ordered the afternoon tea which came in with scones and cute little pastries that looked divine! The prices here are a bit on the higher scale but I definately recommend a visit here, if only for a glass of wine or a coffee outside with the beautiful view over Strandvägen and the water and the ferries. I've never stayed at the hotel itself, I'll have to do that sometime - the rooms with the view are supposed to be lovely!
